Dominique Russell explores what lies behind our gallery show cases
I work in Conservation as the Masterplan Collections Assistant based at our collections store Blythe House, London. I am responsible for installing exhibitions and taking them down, ensuring that the objects in our collection are packed carefully and travel safely. I installed the objects for the Mathematics gallery and Wounded and decanted the Medicine galleries, Agriculture, Measuring Time and Cosmos & Culture. I am now preparing objects for the new Medicine Galleries in 2019.
Collections Assistant Dominique Russell describes the process of cleaning and preparing the incredible Elliott 401 computer to go on display.
